Parental Involvement and Academic Performance Among the Grade- 7 Students of

F. Bangoy National High School

Chapter 1
Introduction or Background of the Study

The goal of a young believer is the happiness of a parent’ in today’s generation, education is one
of the important key to achieve our goals and become a successful individual. Academic performance
and achievements reflect students attitude towards their education. Parental involvement is one of the
topics that captured the attention of many researchers interested in investigating the important factors
the influence academic performance.

Review of Related Literature

Understanding the influence of parental involvement to the education of the child has been an
active area of research in the field of Academic Institution and other academic groups.

According to Flipscience (2020) research study about “How Filipino parents can help ensure
successful modular distance learning of the student’s.” It’s stated that the modular approach situates
Filipino students to learn in the comfort of their homes.

Theoretical Framework

Theoretical perspective provide the basis for research inspire scholars to go further in the social
sciences.

Conceptual Framework

Statement of the Problem/Objectives:

1. What is the profile of the respondents when group by gender?


2. What are the respondent’s perception level about parental involvement?
3. What is the mean grade of Grade-7 students of F. Bangor National High School?
4. Is there significant relationship between parental involvement and academic performance
among Grade-7 students of F. Bangoy National High School?

Hypothesis

There is no significant relationship between parental involvement and academic performance of


Grade-7 students of F. Bangoy National High School.
Chapter 2

Research Design
This study used a descriptive correlational research design to examine the relationship
between parental involvement and academic performance of the Grade-7 students in F. Bangoy
National High School.

Type of Sampling
Simple random sampling

Respondents
The population size of Grade-7 students comprising a total of one-thousand seven
hundred (1,700). Select a total sample of 341 students made up of 148 males and 193 females.

Research Instruments
The research Instrument use in this study is an Online Survey.
