Pets are animals raised for ornamental purposes, cuddled and cherished under human care. The
two most common types of pets are dogs and cats. Some people prefer cats to dogs while others think
otherwise. I believe when compared to dogs, there are more benefits than drawbacks to cats.
Cats are usually quieter and cleaner than dogs. When you have a dog, you will spend a lot of
time playing with it and taking it for a walk. But a cat is completely worried about itself, it does not
need the owner to take it out or spend time with it, all the cat needs from the owner is food. In addition,
cats are also skilled hunters. They help catch mice and insects in houses. Nevertheless, many people
think that cats are not as friendly as dogs. They may not jump for joy like dogs when we get home.
Instead, they show their affection in other ways.
Dogs are generally easier to train than cats because most dogs enjoy training. It is a job, and the
dogs all love to work. Besides, dogs love to play, and that is often the interactive play they want.
Moreover, dogs can protect you. They can warn of danger when they detect outside noises. Many
intruders will avoid contact with any dog for fear of being bitten. Nevertheless, dogs are active animals,
so they need a lot of space to play. If you live in a small apartment, a cat will be a more reasonable
choice.
I personally value silence and privacy. Therefore, I believe that choosing to adopt a cat is better,
especially when the family's living space is not spacious.

BÀI LÀM

It is a matter of fact that to date dogs and cats have become two of the most popular pets in the
world because they are both friendly, easy to keep, and extremely lovable. However, there are many
comparative opinions on what kind of pet to choose. Personally, I prefer keeping a dog as a pet because
of the benefits it brings to my life.
First of all, having a dog improves your mental and physical life. In fact, dog owners can clearly
feel their affection and love for them through their daily gestures. For example, they will jump with
excitement, welcome you when you come home after a tiring day at work. It can be seen as a therapy
to rebalance your spirit as it helps you reduce stress, sadness and drive your fatigue away. Moreover,
as an outgoing, active animal, a dog can also be very effective in boosting your physical activities. The
fact that you walk your dog every day, play active games with them helps you burn more calories,
lower cholesterol as well as keep heart health. This facilitates improving your health every day. In
addition, compared with keeping cats, children who play with dogs are less likely to suffer negative
health problems like allergies. Many scientific studies have also proven that keeping a dog in the house
can help children grow up faster and increase resistance due to allergies to pets later on.
Despite the above advantages, it is undeniable that owning a dog also has its disadvantages.
Their owners need to spend more time training and taking care of dogs than cats. For example, you
must teach them how to go to the toilet in the right place, bathe, take them for a walk, play with them.
What’s more, you can not forget to trim their hair, trim their nails neatly and clean their skin regularly.
Personally, I still cannot forget the happy memory of my childhood when playing with my
lovely pet dogs. Therefore, I believe that keeping a small dog as a pet will make us always feel happy,
optimistic and improve the body of the caregiver, especially for children and the elderly.

In the modern life, people are easy to connect with others but they also feel lonely, so they adopt a pet
to make friends, in which dogs and cats are the most popular pets. I think when compared with cat,
dogs are closer and bring more benefits for the family.

Dogs are animals close to humans. First of all, some kind of dogs is very smart. They can help the
ower look after the house when the owner going out, because they have ability to recognize strangers.
According to studies, dogs are one of the most intelligent of all animals, so they are easy to training.
Secondly, they are not just pet animal, but a true member of the family because of their friendly. Dogs
become the best friend of children due to they always play together, especially they are always the first
one to greet the owner whenever the owners come back home.

There are many people choose to keep a cat in their house. Firstly, cats will keep the house and yard
rodent-free like rats, chipmunk, voles or mice. Beside that, people do not have to take time out of day
to perform the somewhat painstaking task of grooming and washing the cat. However, cats always on
their own terms, and they mainly see you as a servant, so their loyalty levels can not compare with
dogs. Cats will shred the furniture like couch by a scratching post to them and it will end up in tatters.

I personally value of the way dogs show unconditional love and loyalty toward the owner. Therefor, I
believe if we have a dog in the family, they will help people to learn how to be happy and joyful in
life.

It is becoming increasingly popular to have pets in a house. There are many people who believe
that dog is a perfect pet. However, some people disagree with this opinion and instead prefer to have
a cat. This essay will make comparison of the two and choose the most preferred option.

To begin with, owning a dog definitely brings a lot of benefits. First of all, the company of a dog
keeps psychological problems such as depression away. A puppy keeps a person busy and give love
and affection that increase overall happiness. In addition, dogs are extremely possessive of their owner
as well as property. They guard the house against any external threat or interference by their barks.
Thus, keeping pets is very helpful for households with children or old people. However, dog’s saliva
and fur are harmful to human health, this is why a fan of dogs tend to have a second thought when
adopting a dog.

Cats, on the other hand, are so adorable and are also helping people relieve stresses and give a
company to a lonely person. Nevertheless, cats tend to be lazy, they sleep almost all day, then sound
meow to require meal, it is so noisy. Moreover, they may damage furniture in a house such as clawing
your sofas, clothes, especially, scratching or biting their owners. It is so difficult to accept those things
to make cat as a pet.

In conclusion, dogs are not only good friends but also excellent protectors from any possible
threat. Nowadays, I also believe that dogs have received regulations to love vaccinated to be close with
people and make them lovely dogs.

Nowadays, owning a pet in home has become a lifestyle. While some people think a dog is a
worthy pet, others still prefer having a cat. I think when compared with a dog, there are many benefits
than drawbacks to having a cat.
It is a fact that having a cat good for your mental health. First of all, through stroking the cat
will help your spirit become happier and more comfortable. This has been proven by scientists that
spending 15 minutes a day stroking your cat not only help your body into a relaxed state, release stress,
but also reduce blood pressure. In addition, cat owners can eliminate the feeling of loneliness. This is
likely to be true because people who live alone may feel persistent isolated. Taking care of a cat and
talking to it distracts your feelings of loneliness, boost your mood and provide companionship. Many
people may argue that cats are difficult to train and disobedient. But I believe it is just the little things
that do not matter when you own a cat.
On the other hand, dogs are often referred as man's best friend because of their loyalty. Besides,
having a dog can protect your home from burglars and strangers. Nevertheless, dogs often take up
more space than cats. They are usually smelly if you do not bath and groom them regularly. It is also
difficult when a dog owner has such a busy schedule that there is not enough time to take the dog out
for a walk to meet their needs. While cats are much more convenient when you just give them a litter
box and clean that box at any time of day.

In conclusion, I appreciate about the mental health and convenience of having a pet. Therefore,
I believe that a cat is an ideal pet especially for busy and introverted person.
