Answer: NO
B) Explain your answer IN A (5 pts). You may use Taglish if you want to.
In law, the jurisdiction of the court is an important tool to wrap up and give
justice to certain cases. Most cases require evidence, facts, and logical reasoning during
the evaluation. At the end, the court must release their judgement to close the case
otherwise no justice will be achieved. The necessity of rendering judgement in law is to
prevent others from wrongdoings and to achieve justice. Hence, forbidding people to
render any judgement will make a society full of injustices. Again, are we going to
tolerate others’ wrongdoings just because we are forbidden to render any judgement
and actions towards them? On the other hand, rendering judgement on one’s
personality and beliefs from your own point of view without objectivity is just a fallacy
or false judgement. Kani ang problema sa kadaghan nga mga pinoy, gamay lang nga
action ug problema, tagaan dayun ug dako nga issue. Unya I chismis sa uban and
mukalat hangtod sa maguba ang imahe sang isa ka tao. Rendering judgement on one’s
action is acceptable, but the act of gossiping and false accusations to the extent that it
affects the person’s emotional well-being requires a moral attention. Hence, objective
judgement alone is acceptable but a series of false rumors that may ruin other’s image,
professionalism, and emotional well-being already seeks moral discussions.
The statement, thou shall not judge others, can be narrowed down to a specific
action to avoid confusion of the concept. Thou shall not judge others is cannot be
included in the characteristics of moral standards because of its loopholes and vague
definition. Moreover, there is no adequate evidence to support the claim that giving
judgements is morally wrong. There is no injustices or life and death matters included in
an act of giving judgements. Lastly, rendering judgement does not supersedes other
standards and considerations. However, if we are going to narrow down the given
statement, we can say that the revised statement, Thou shall not render faulty
judgement or spread false rumors, is part of moral standards.
