Course Objective

The course intends to further train students to obtain professional skills in garment design
construction and accessories production with specific reference in using tailoring techniques.
The course involves transfer of knowledge from FTE 124: Garment Technology, FTE 231:
Design, Pattern and Garment Production and FTE 244: Design, Pattern and Garment
Production II. The learner is expected to:

1. Apply analytical and design skills

2. Apply all pattern making skills

3. Demonstrate sewing skill with specific reference to tailoring skills

Course Description

This course provides learners with opportunities apply previous knowledge from all related
courses in design, pattern, garment and accessories for professional use. The Course involves
designing of professional/occasional garments, development of patterns, handling of special
fabrics, construction of garments, and skills of fitting garments, accessory designing and
making.
