Dear Student,
I hope by now you have already received the offer letter and taken the necessary steps
to make sure that you are one of the successful candidates who will join FLAME this
year (See Appendix at the end.) Our Orientation and Induction program for the PG
Preparatory Programme students will begin on Sunday – July 18, 2010.
Here are some instructions related to the program. Please go through them carefully and
make sure that you bring all the forms and documents when you arrive on the campus.
You will find a list at the end of this letter.
Please note, you are not allowed to enter the Sports area without the FLAME
sportswear. You will be issued a kit containing sufficient sportswear. Please pay Rs
2,500 for the Sports and stationery kit at the Accounts office desk and collect your kit.

Please note that you will be given temporary room allotment for the preparatory
programme. Your final room allotment will be done on August 1, 2010.

Please note: Students should send only photocopies and not originals through post. The
last date for receipt of payment for first trimester is July 15, 2010.
FLAME prohibits the use and consumption of alcohol and expects students to abide by
this regulation concerning the consumption, purchase, storage, empty bottles and
distribution of alcohol. It is mandatory for every student to provide the Foundation, on
written orders from the Executive Committee, at any time during the academic year,
samples of urine, blood, breath analyzer or subject themselves to medical examination if
called upon to do so. Refusal to take a test shall be construed as admission of guilt and
action shall be initiated as per norms laid down.
No student may enter the campus having consumed ANY level of alcohol. This clearly
means that no student can consume alcohol and come to the campus. Students are
advised to remain outside the campus limit. The campus limit is defined as from the point
that starts from the diversion at the Pune –Bangalore highway (Crystal Honda), to the
campus.
Students are hereby advised that breath analyzer test shall be conducted for every
student entering the campus at any time of the day by the authorized personnel. If the
student tests any level of alcohol in his/ her breath, the student will be requested to leave
the campus premises immediately on his/ her own transport arrangement. The parents
shall be informed about the infraction immediately. Further disciplinary action shall be
initiated against the student. Please note that the Foundation is not responsible for
making arrangements for the student to leave the campus.
Students below the age of 21 are not permitted to consume alcohol. Any student found
to be doing so shall face the Executive Committee and disciplinary action which shall
range from suspension to expulsion.
Consent form to be signed and submitted to the Registrar before being issued the
eligibility to attend academic session. Please note if your parents are not accompanying
you, your parents must sign the enclosed consent form

You must sign this form to enjoy eligibility as a full time resident student of FLAME. As
per The FLAME Byelaws, the Executive Committee shall disseminate a copy of the list of
banned drug classes (Attachment) to all students please note that the list may change
during the academic year. FLAME Bylaws require that you sign this form. If you have any
questions, you should discuss them with your school Dean.
Drug-Testing Consent
By signing this form, you affirm that you are aware of the FLAME drug-testing program,
which provides that
1. A student who is found to have used a substance on the list of banned drugs, as
set forth in, shall be declared ineligible for further participation in regular
academic and non academic activities and competition in all sports in accordance
with the provisions in Byelaws of the Executive Committee. A student who tests
positive (in accordance with the testing methods authorized by the FLAME
Executive Committee) shall be expelled from the school he/she studies in.
