DESCRIPTION

The purpose of inspection and testing carried out on the installation manual or electrical devices is
to ensure the safety of an installation has been fulfilled in accordance with IEE regulations, TNB
Energy Commission (EC) in order to work properly and safely used.

Inspection and testing must be conducted on the following:

i. Equipment and electrical installations.

ii. Existing installations for the purpose of the addition or modification.
iii. The existing electrical installation on a regular basis according to plan or planning for
maintenance purposes.
iv. Tests on consumer demand or direction. This is usually when there is damage to the
installation.

VISION INSPECTION

 Review the proposed vision is carried out before any testing that is conducted by means of view,

the goal is as follows:

i. To ensure that the devices are installed in accordance with British Standard (BS), Standards
Malaysia (MS) approved by the Chairman of the Energy Commission (EC) and SIRIM. If the tools
are not there any sign of approval, then the contractor must submit a letter of approval in respect.
ii. To ensure that the entire installation is carried out in accordance with IEE regulations, TNB,
PWD, ST and other regulatory requirements.
iii. To ensure that no real or apparent damage to the installation or electrical devices connected to
it.

 During these tests do not need to be removed from the lamp holders and light switches should
be in Konkan.
 Meter shows the reading of the charges.

Continuity test circuit ring.

This test was done to ensure continuity along each conductor has a ring circuit. There are two
methods of testing the circuit continuity of the proposed ring. The tools used are a tester

The first method of testing procedures.

1. Test the continuity between the end of each conductor ring circuit, connect the lead tester as
shown below:

1. Repeat the procedure as above for the continuity test phase and neutral conductors.
2. Meter will show a reading of less than one ohm must show continuity is good conductor.

The second method of testing procedures.

1. Test the continuity between the end of each conductor ring circuit, connect plambam testers like
the figure below. The conductor used for circuit the three conductors of the earth, neutral and live.
2. Meter will show a reading of less than one ohm must show continuity is good conductor.
3. The test is carried out with continuity conductor of the N - L, L - E and N - E

Protection conductor continuity test

The purpose of protection conductor continuity test is to make sure it is connected properly and
effectively. Tester is used for ohmic. There are two types of methods for testing the continuity of
protection conductors.

Procedure for testing the continuity of protection conductors of the first method.
