Hi Bob.
It’s good to hear from you.
In Spain many students find part-time or casual work as wairters or kitchen workers in cafés or
restaurants easily. Students usually do these sort of jobs in the evenings, at weekends or in the
summer.
My first job was babysitting the son of my neighbour, the kid was only five years old, it was
difficult the firsts days becouse the kid was always with his family and one day he suddenly was
with a strange on his house and he was scared, but when he get to know me we played and made
jokes all the time, sometimes he had to do homework of school and I helped he doing the
homework, it was easy becouse he was very respondible and organised with his homework and he
learnt easily.
I learnt a lot about kids becouse sometimes we think we have to do the things with their equally but
actually some kids need more attention or help than others becouse they don’t learn so easily the
things and they need more time to do it.

All young people should study a foreign language

I think nowadays studying a foreign language like English is the best, becouse learning a foreign
language can help you a lot.
On the one hand you can get job easier, and if in your work you have to travel you will have easier
to go and you will communicate faster than if you don’t know the language and you have to find
other way of communicating.
On the other hand if you know the language you will not have problems to meet other people and
you will understand better the culture of the country thatyou are visiting when you are travelling.
Or when in your country are holidays and foreign people is visiting your country you can have a
talk with that people without problems if you know de language.
Last but not least the feeling of being able to keep a conversation going with other people that know
that language or you can too watch series in the foreign language that you learned and watch it with
subtitles.
In conclusion if you know a foreign language is a big help for th work ans travel.

There are both advantages and disadvantages to a career as a musician or an actor. Do you
agree?
Famous people with career of musicians or actors have advantages but also have disadvantages.
Advantages and disadvantages of doing something you enjoy. Musicians or actors can work on
something they’ve chosen becouse they like and enjoy working on it. Musicians have the advantage
of being able to create their own music, although they are not always allowed to use it in their
concerts. Actors can’t choose the script they want and they can’t change it. At the same time they
are working and they are doing something they like.
Advantages and disadvantages of becoming well known. It is good for good for them to be well
known becouse the more famous they are the more jobs they can get. One of the disadvantages is
that being so well known do not have much private life becouse the cameras are always after them
and the people in the streets ask them for photos and signatures.
Advantages and disadvantages of having a lot of money. You can buy everything you want no
matter what the price is. Famous people can afford to pay cleaners and babysitters to take care of
their homes and their children.
People around them often pretend to be their friends becouse they are interested in their money.
Famous people have little relationship with their children, because the children spend more time
with babysitters thanwith their parents, and with their family because they are too busy.
In my opinion, I think disadvantages have more weight than advantages, becouse it’s important to
have a good relationship with your family, have a private life and have free time.

ALJUB (Page 123)

Aljub is a shopping centre that is located in Elche where hundreds of young people go to meet their
friends and have a good time on weekends. Apart from a several rooms screaning the latest films,
there are restaurants, different kinds of shops and a place where you can go and play several games,
like bowling.
This cinema is very popular because is the closest cinema to my town.
You’ll find many clothing stores where you can buy clothes at a good price. And then, you can go to
an ice cream shop and have an ice cream with some friends and talk, or maybe you can go and
watch a movie.
Aljub is a few kilometres from the town, but don’t worry if you don’t have a car because it’s still
easy to get there by public transport, but there is a lot of traffic at weekends.
Aljub it’s a great place for anyone under the age of 25 because it has a such a variety of things to do
that you are sure to have a great time. What is more, on wednesdays you can buy tickets for the
cinema with a discount because of the spectator’s day.
