Intern Program Application Instructions - Part 1

STEP 1: FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION


Application Form:
Only complete, typed applications will be accepted. Please answer all questions in English and
do not leave questions blank unless inapplicable.

Attaching Your Photo:


Paste 1 smiling (head-and-shoulder) photograph on the application.

How to attach a photo to the application:


 Choose a smiling headshot from your personal files, preferably in jpeg/jpg or png file format.
 Open the application and select "Add Image" from the Content Editing section of the Toolbar.
 Select your photo and insert it into the application.
 Resize the photo to fit in the photo box on the application.
 Save the application onto your computer and continue filling out your information.

***If you are unable to attach your photo to the application, you may include it as a separate file -
preferably in jpeg/jpg or png file format.

Required Essay Questions (Pages 5-6):


The answers to these questions should be written solely by you. The answers you provide will be
reviewed by host schools and families during the selection process. Take this opportunity to show
your personality, values, writing skills, organizational ability, enthusiasm and creativity. Remember,
this information will be the first impression that you make! Short answers will not be accepted.

STEP 2: SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION


 Save a copy of your completed application for your records before submitting it to Amity.
 Submit your application to mkitchin@amity.org with the subject line: Intern Application - Your Full Name.

APPLICATION FEE
The application fee (US$200) is due upon approval of your final application. You will be provided
with payment instructions at that time.

IMPORTANT: The application fee is non-refundable and does not gaurantee placement with a host
school or approval of your visa.
