Data collection procedures & trustworthiness
-Students took the test and submitted it online using their emails.

-Graded automatically when submitted but we had to go in and correct answers

marked wrong.

-Trustworthiness: not a lot of similar answers to prove cheating could not have
occured.

-Strengths: Easy to grade, MC questions were well written, Had multiple people
check assessment before given out.

-Weaknesses: Confusion questions (short answer: give and go), Multiple answers
could be correct (short answer)
Analysis of results - explanation & graphic display
-In general, the students excelled at the multiple choice questions and needed improvement on the fill in the blank
questions.

-Defense was one of the topics answered correctly by most students.

-Cutting was one of the topics most commonly missed by students.

-The average score of the pre test results was a 6.08, post test results average was a 6.42.

-Pre-assessment, 11 out of the 12 students had a score of 5-8.

-Post-assessment, the scores varied between 4-9.

-After reviewing the results as a whole, the majority of students performed better on the post-assessment over the
pre-assessment.

Post-test scores

After reviewing the results as a whole, the majority of students performed better on the post-assessment
over the pre-assessment. As a group the class met the GLOs based on the group average. For example, two
students scored a 9 out of 10 on the post-assessment, whereas the highest score on the pre-assessment
was an 8 out of 10.

Trustworthiness of additional assessments
-We ensured the trustworthiness of our assessments by making sure that each of
our assessments were not viewed before they were given out and the questions
themselves were reliable and valid questions that were relevant to the soccer unit.
Grading
- We were able to have the quizzes automatically be graded for the multiple choice and true/false
questions but we had to manually grade the fill in the blank and short answer questions because the
automatic grading system was case sensitive or only accepted one answer so we went back and
made sure that if an answer was acceptable than the students were to receive credit for their
response.
Reflections
For the future, things we could have improved on and/or change include, short
answer questions and difficulty.

Short answer questions- If we were to give this quiz again we would take away
most of the short answer questions as they were not performed well on and
instead will be adding some true or false questions. We felt that the short answer
questions were too complicated for a 7th grade level and went to in-depth. If we
were to keep short answer questions then we will definitely make the question
simpler and right to the point. We were getting to wide of a variety of questions on
the short answer questions.

Difficulty- We felt that we made this quiz a little too hard for the 7th grade level.
We went to in depth in some questions that 7th graders could have been confused
and this could destroy their confidence while taking this quiz.
