have a Love Relationship. So this is the summary In the test “ You're more in love with your
partner than in lust, which is a good thing if you're looking for a relationship with emotional

with your significant other, it doesn't define your relationship. You have a serious, emotional
attachment to your partner, and it sounds as if the two of you may have long-term possibilities .
Good, mature relationships strike a balance between many competing factors. It is often difficult
for a person to maintain that balance, but you appear to be doing so and should be proud of the
healthy love relationship you're in.” and for me I’m in love to my partner. There are questions in
the survey about sexually and we know that among today's young people like me who are

CHAPTER 9 SPIRITUAL SELF

EVALUATION
ESSAY. Answer the following questions.
1. Distinguish the difference between belief in spirits and belief in the Holy Spirit
A spirit is an entity that could influence people in their choices and will. It can be a
force of something good or bad. It can be from the souls of people we used to know.
They could be found in one place, memories or within inside a person's body.
The Holy Spirit is a part of the Holy Trinity, which is the 3rd person of the Trinity.
Unlike spirits, the Holy Spirit is considered good and holy. Like Jesus, the Holy Spirit
can give love, teaches and communicates with people, not all spirits can be of this.
These are characteristics of persons that is why the Holy Spirit is sometimes
considered as a person.

2. What is the relationship between religion and spirituality?

Religion is a specific set of organized beliefs and practices, usually shared by a
community or group. Spirituality is more of an individual practice and has to do with
having a sense of peace and purpose. It also relates to the process of
developing beliefs around the meaning of life and connection with others.

3. Give at least two kinds of spiritual beliefs ( animism) in the Philippines . What are the
reasons for having those spiritual beliefs?
Animism, belief in innumerable spiritual beings concerned with human affairs and
capable of helping or harming human interests. The term animism denotes not a
single creed or doctrine but a view of the world consistent with a certain range of
religious beliefs and practices, many of which may survive in more complex and
hierarchical religions.

4. What are the functions of religion in developing the spiritual self?

Religion is a cultural universal because it fulfills several basic functions within
human societies. It is a basic requirement of group life. In sociological terms, these
include both manifest and latent functions. Among the manifest (open and stated)
functions of religion are included defining the spiritual world and giving meaning to
the divine.

CHAPTER 10 POLITICAL SELF

EVALUATION
1. Enumerate at least five functions of the political self
 Recruiting and nominating candidates.
 Educating the electorate about campaign issues.
 Defining the structure and functions of the government.
 Telling the relationship between the State and the citizens.
 Describing their rights, freedom, and obligations as citizens.

2. Explain the origins of the political self. Discuss how the family, school, church, peer
groups, and media affect the development of the political self.
 Parents have the ability to educate their children about government institutions,
political figures, and current events, but this is rarely done. They have the ability
to impact the formation of political values and ideas, such as respect for political
symbols or belief in a cause. Formal classroom education in civics and history
classes, the enacting of rites and rituals such as the flag salute, and extracurricular
activities such as student government can all help to foster political learning in
schools. Peer groups can have an impact on the process of political socialization.
Young people crave acceptance and are more prone to adopt the attitudes,
perspectives, and behaviors of the organizations to which they belong. As the
number of media channels has grown and new technologies allow for more
interactive media experiences, the power of the media to socialize people to
politics has evolved dramatically. Because most people do not have firsthand
access to government or politicians, they must live vicariously through the media.

3. Identify current political issues in the Philippines and recount the circumstances that led
to the issue. As a citizen, what can you do to prevent the issues from recurring?
 In 2020, the Philippines' human rights situation deteriorated. Since taking office
in June 2016, President Rodrigo Duterte's violent "war on drugs" has primarily
targeted impoverished Filipinos in metropolitan areas. Thousands of extrajudicial
executions have been carried out by police and unidentified gunmen associated to
the authorities. During the Covid-19 lockdown, the number of people killed
climbed substantially, increasing by more than 50% from April to July 2020
compared to the previous four months. These killings have been carried out with
virtually complete impunity. Threats and attacks on left-wing political activists,
environmental activists, community leaders, Indigenous peoples' leaders,
journalists, and lawyers, including assassinations. To set aside entrenched
political divisions and steer public debate and decision-making that promotes the
humanity of others, more determined and bold leadership is required. Leaders
should use their positions to improve outcomes for those in need while also
committing to long-term participation.
4. Give at least three problems that ail the Philippine political system. Explain how these
problems can affect your political views and beliefs. Discuss your answers.
 The return to democracy following the People Power Revolution in February
1986 restored many of the pre-martial-law era institutional features and political
elites. Although it is generally accurate to view 1986 as a return to elite
democracy, Philippine society, the state, and modes of political competition have
changed since 1972. Still, even the most positive views of democracy in the
Philippines since 1986 see it as a flawed work in progress; harsher critics see it as
a sham and a failure. Commonly cited flaws include elections tainted by violence
and vote buying, widespread rent-seeking and corruption, policies that have
benefited elites and special interests at the expense of the poor majority, and a
dysfunctional justice system.
5. . The lives of national heroes are great sources of inspiration. Choose one Filipino hero.
Identify his or her courageous and heroic acts which make him or her worthy of respect
and emulation. Identify your characteristics which are similar to the hero you have
chosen and the things that you can do for the country
 Andres Bonifacio. He was a Filipino revolutionary hero who founded the
Kataastaasan Kagalanggalang na Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (KKK) or
Katipunan a secret society devoted to fighting the Spanish occupation of the
Philippines. He was the first one to have a clear vision of what a Filipino nation
should be—The Father of the Filipino Nation. He would later be known as
Supremo; destined to change the history of the Filipino people. Having the
passion and determination to have peace in the country makes us similar, and
through that we can achieve a unite Philippines and a happy smiles can be seen.
CHAPTER 11 DIGITAL SELF
EVALATION
1. What are the basic ethical issues to consider when sharing personal information in social
networks?
 Nowadays, social media has a significant impact on people, an impact that can be
positive or detrimental depending on how it is used. In social networks, we come
into a variety of ethical dilemmas. For starters, we can combine information from
several sources. However, when it comes to privacy issues, the online world is a
very different environment, and we must be much more selective with the
information we share. . Privacy is analysed from the point of view of philosophy
of rights and from the point of view of the ethical responsibility of the site
owners to protect internet user personal data.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the Data Privacy Act of 2012?
Advantages of this law
 Protection against cyber bullies and similar issues –
 Protection against cyber squatters
 Protection against child pornography
Disadvantages of this law:
 Freedom of speech is compromised
 Intrusion of privacy
 Only positive things must be posted
 Liking, Sharing, Tweeting or re-tweeting post are libelous
 Ability to take down websites without warning

3. What can you do to help prevent and effectively manage the spread of identity theft, false
information, and fake news in the country?
In our day in modern day, we are all confronted with problems or difficulties that may
prevent us from achieving our objectives. The only way to prevent the spread of identity
theft, misleading information, and even fake news in our society is for us to be well-educated
citizens. We will be aware of what is going on in our surrounds as we get more educated. We
can help avert these situations by assisting ourselves, exercising discipline, and being mindful
of our responsibilities as citizens of our country.

4. Make a slogan or poster about becoming a responsible Internet user. Use coloring materials
to improve your output.

B. Essay.
Write an essay guided by the following question. Do you think it is possible to achieve self-
actualization? Cite the relationships of the needs according to Abraham Maslow. How do
they affect each other? Give an example for each need and relate it to your own experiences.
Describe the effects of each need on you and your behavior.
Abraham Maslow introduced his "hierarchy of needs," he took the concept of self-
actualization into the mainstream. Self-actualization is also defined as a psychological
process that aims to maximize a person's abilities and resources. This procedure may differ
from one person to the next. Couture et al. (2007; Couture et al., 2008). We can conclude that
we can reach self-actualization, but not in the time frame that we desired. It is a process that
we must consider in order to understand our personal requirements and desires. The
hierarchy of needs, first proposed by Abraham Maslow almost 70 years ago, is still taught as
an important aspect of motivational psychology. The impact of each requirement on how
humans behave is being considered. Food, water, shelter, safety, and security are all basic
requirements. Then there are psychological demands, such as a sense of accomplishment, a
close connection, and friends. Finally, there are self-fulfillment demands, which are
concerned with realizing one's full potential, which includes engaging in creative pursuits.
Every need has its own consequences, but all effects have the same goal: to bring out the best
in a person so that they can reach their full human potential. It encourages people to think on
the things that are truly important to them and to become more aware of how they might
improve themselves.

D.. Essay. Write an essay on the three important things you discovered about yourself
and learned from each self- assessment activity. What are your insights on the results of
the activities?
My Reflection
I discovered many things in doing this assessment. It just means that every day or every
hour of our life has its own development. We can also have it through the help of others but
especially on our own. First thing is to love yourself because it is one of the most beautiful things
you can gift to yourself, second find your happiness by socializing to others because having
people hurting reduces thoughts in life minus negative vibes. Having connection to every people
around me makes me feel that I am not alone. I always give time to have some social interaction
to them for me also to practice myself on having confidence to face in front of many people and
last always include god in everything you do. Have good values and also to love myself.
Spiritual development has a great impact to me on how I give importance to everything. As time
goes by, we face difficulties. We develop ourselves in such challenges that gives us strength to
learn more and to know more about ourselves as an individual. Always tell him everything and
because of that you will have development in your life.
