LEADERS IN CONDUCTING RESEARCH IN THE NEW NORMAL

Division of Quezon headed by Sir Elias A. Alicaya , OIC-Schools Divi-


sion Superintendent, conducted a webinar on Enhancing the Capability of
Teachers and School leaders in Conducting Research in the New Normal last
December 15, 2020. All Public Schools Heads of Quezon included this activity
as part of the In-Service Training for Teachers. This webinar aims to build the
capabilities of the heads and school leaders in the conduct of research to improve
the delivery of instruction and school management. It also intends to gain under-
standing in adopting the research engagement in the new normal and increase
awareness on DepEd Quezon’s research agenda in the new normal.

The webinar started by an Audio Visual presentation of National


Anthem, an Opening Prayer, Calabarzon March and Lalawigan ng Quezon
Hymn presented by Ma’am Michelle G. Duma. It was followed by a roll-
call of participants conducted by Sir Karl Erickson I. Ebora, SDRC Secre-
tariat Member/Master Teacher II. A statement of purpose was given to us
by Sir Ryan C. Sulivas, a SDRC Secretariat Member and also this webinar
Co-Chairman. Sir Gregorio A. Co Jr. , Assistant Division Superintendent,
SDRC Chairperson gave his welcome remarks to all the participants.

The first speaker was introduced by Sir Rexter J. Anda, 4th CDRC Chair-
person. Our first speaker, Sir Rejulios Villenes discussed about Simplifying Ac-
tion Research Learning From Field Experiences. The second and third speaker
was introduced by Ma’am Maricon V. Estrelllado, 2nd CDRC Chairperson. Sir
Ryan C. Sulivas, CDRC Secretariat Member and a Master Teacher I, our second
speaker gone into a topic of Identifying and Addressing Problems Among the
Learners and School Settings and Crafting Research Problems and Titles. The
third and last speaker was Sir Gilbert C. Alva, a senior Education Program Spe-
cialist tackled about DepEd Quezon’s Research Agenda in the New Normal.

After the successfully presentation of all the speakers, Sir Elias A Alicaya Jr., OIC-Schools Division Superinten-
dent gave us an inspirational message. The program ended with a closing remarks by Ma’am Elizabeth M. De Villa,
SGOD Chief.
