Quality Function Deployment (QFD), tüketicinin satın almak
istediği ürün veya hizmetlerin tasarımı, üretimi ve
pazarlanması amacı ile, işletme içindeki beceriler üzerinde
yoğunlaşarak gerekli koordinasyonu sağlayan bir dizi planlama
ve iletişim sürecinden oluşan sistematik bir yaklaşımdır.
Bu yaklaşım sonucunda ortaya çıkan ve tüm teknikle özdeş
olarak anılabilen “Kalite Evi”, bir anlamda, fonksiyonlar arası
planlama ve iletişime olanak tanıyan kavramsal bir şema ve
aslında QFD’nin görsel olarak ortaya konulan sonucudur.
➢QFD, beklenen kalite standartlarında bir ürünün üretilmesi ve piyasaya arz
edilmesi için ihtiyaç duyulan organizasyonel ve operasyonel prosedürleri
içeren bir kalite sistemidir. (Feigenbaum)
➢Her sorun için amaç, kriter, olası alt kriter seviyeleri ve seçeneklerden oluşan
hiyerarşik bir model kullanır.
