Introduction
High-leaded tin bronze UNS C93700 copper casting alloy is an alloy of copper-tin-lead. The addition
of nickel in the alloy enhances the strength and ductility. UNS C93700 copper alloy is resistant to
biofouling and corrosion.

The following datasheet provides the chemical composition and properties of UNS C93700 alloy.

UNS C93700 alloy has a machinability rating of 80.
     
Welding
The preferred welding techniques for UNS C93700 copper alloy are soldering and brazing. Carbon
arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, gas shielded arc welding and coated metal arc welding are not
recommended for this alloy.

Heat Treatment
The stress relieving temperature of UNS C93700 alloy is 260°C (500°F). UNS C93700 copper alloy
does not respond to heat treatment.
