 CHAPTER I – INTRODUCTION

PAINTING

- Is a form of art that is executed in paints. Using your brush, canvas, paint, and imagination you can

create an image with a message or meaning.

IMPORTANCE OF PAINTING

- Painting is an important form in the visual arts, because it brings life to elements such as drawing,

composition, gesture, narration, abstract, and collage. Paintings can also be naturalistic and representational,

symbolistic, emotive, and political in nature.

CHAPTER II- PROPOSAL

CONCEPTUAL PLAN

(CULTURE IN A BOX)
The concept of this painting is to show the culture of Philippines. In the first line a person is standing while

watching the sunrise it symbolizes new beginnings, The person is looking forward to a new beginning. In the

second line we can see a flower blooming, this symbolizes our country because our country is still beautiful and

still blooming. The third line shows a fishing boat, which symbolizes our fishermen. The last line shows our

“palayan” which symbolizes the hardworks of the farmer and how they take care of it.

MATERIALS

- DIY canvas/ Illustration board

- Charcoal (uling)

- Old poster paints

- Paint brush.

STEPS:

- First I will create my canvas using an old clothe or old illustration board.

- After making my canvas I will paint the base first.

- Then I will sketch the concept of the painting using a pencil

- After sketching, I’ll start painting the first line until I reach the last line.

- After painting I’ll let the painting dry, then add more colors to enhance the painting
 - Then I’ll display it to take a picture.

WHY MY PROPOSAL SHOULD BE ACCEPTED?

- My painting shows a taste of our culture as a filipino, my proposal should be accepted because my

intention is to show how unique, artistic, and beautiful our culture is. It would be a great opportunity

for me as a student if my proposal gets accepted, with this I’ll be able to share with everyone the

final product coming from my concept and for everyone to understand my concept and vision, and

also to show others that we can also create unique designs and colors from indigenous materials and

DIY materials.

CHAPTER III – SUMMARY

To sum it all up, my concept plan is based on the art form I choose in Unit I which is painting. I introduced

what is painting and how it affected many cultures and showed its importance. I also attached my Unit I output

details about painting. In my proposal in chapter two I showed my concept and vision and also a draft of my

painting, I also showed the materials I’m going to use which includes DIY and indigenous materials. I also

included my step by step plan on how I will make my painting. And lastly I explained and gave opinion on why

my proposal should be accepted.
