Leadership
(by Marielle Semilla)

The new business climate forces companies to have managers who have an important
training to meet the continual changes that arise in the environment. For this purpose,
leaders are expected to adjust rapidly to new situations and innovate when necessary for
the good of the organization they lead. In this regard, it is important to have leaders who are
committed to ethical and humanistic ideals while still focusing on successful management.

A successful organizational leader has the ability to influence the entire human team of the
organization, often focuses on the needs of each, as well as the enhancement of their skills
and abilities, leading them towards the fulfillment of the company's goals with passion and
in a harmonious atmosphere.

It is important to remember that not all individuals in managerial roles act in a true
leadership capacity; some only act in power relationships that are diametrically contrary to
the organizational leader's vision.

A good leader views the workers of the company as a work team, and manages
relationships of cordiality, support and respect. It is based on results, but it also manages
synergy within the work group. It is a person who is ready to deal with crises and conflicts,
or who manages his emotional intelligence.

To summarize, the way a business is run has a direct effect on the organization's
performance. As a result, it's critical to have a leadership team in place that can adapt to the
relentless changes brought about by the globalization in which we work, while still keeping
the company competitive and profitable.
