ISDP & Y Rollout Platform integration between Huawei

Situation

Huawei Signed SWAP Contract with X Company for 5 years. In Tender RFP we found

that, customer has own rollout delivery Rollout Platform “Y”. All network planning,

rollout and acceptance controlled in “Y” Rollout Platform, including FLM project,

network alarm and Work Order also. Huawei proposed in delivery project used ISDP but

that was clearly mention in RFP requirement all information should update by vendor in

X Company Internally “Y” Rollout Platform.

Project team start work with customer rollout team and requested training for “Y” Rollout

Platform. Huawei team requested specially VPN and account for “Y” Rollout Platform.

Installed VPN for Huawei staff and created account for access to customer internal

platform.

After first trail project (several sites) delivered by Huawei end to end, solution team

analyzed with project delivery team “Y” Rollout Platform flow chart step by step, and

tray to understood full picture.

X company purchased “Y” Rollout Platform from Y Company. Y Company provided IT

services to X Company.

Task：Description of problems or challenges

Based on the customer work flow，TSSR report/SSV report/NP report/Acceptance doc

need to upload to “Y” Rollout Platform and also Huawei requirement from project

delivery team upload all doc to ISDP. This two operation manually and separately（2

times operation）, and the on Air data also need to update in ISDP and “Y” Rollout

Platform separately（2 times operation）. For one sites, the manually system operation

times will be 10 times, for whole project, the manually system operation work will have

1470*10= 14700 times. During trail sites delivery time it shows that all this process

need additional staff and additional time.

Analysis, Strategies and Actions

Huawei analyzed all proses and discussed with region IT team for solution. Met with customer IT

team, build both company team for discussion solution and integration task. Customer high

management and Huawei high management reviewed all process together and agreed solution.

Solution as below:

 Huawei to provide SFTP server which support to transfer large documents.

 Business rule and procedure are agreed by Customer and Huawei

 X Company and “Y” Rollout Platform Insist on ‘Site to Site’ VPN-industrial standard,

safe, stable

Result

After ISDP and “Y” Rollout Platform connection, TSSR report/SSV report/NP

report/Acceptance doc only need to upload to ISDP 1 time. Totally need to operate in

ISDP and “Y” Rollout Platform 5 times manually, X Company can get this information

timely and correctly, shorten delivery period.

 Efficiency improvement: processes are all electronic, including review,

decision-making, signing, downloading and archiving. Period is short greatly,

from 3 days to Maximum 2H.

 Signing security: avoid papers missing during posting process; avoid documents

inconsistency between review and signed version.

 Cost saving: save the manpower cost, paper cost, risk cost and borrowing cost etc.

Suggestion or Review

Digital transformation bring our project more efficiency. 1. Project team avoid make

mistake, all work reviewed by each approval and no need transfer one system two other

by manual. 2. Cost saving, 3. Approval log and comment always Cleary in system, not

any email or verbal. All record till close project save in system. No need additional time

for wait customer signature.
