1. Dua for the Believers:
‫اللَّ ُه َّم َمالِ َك ْالم ُْل ِك ُتْؤ ِتي ْالم ُْل َك‬
‫نز ُع ْالم ُْل َك ِممَّن‬ ِ َ
‫ت‬ ‫و‬
َ ُ
‫ء‬ ‫ا‬‫ش‬َ َ
‫ت‬ ‫َمن‬
‫َت َشا ُء َو ُت ِع ُّز َمن َت َشا ُء َو ُت ِذ ُّل‬
‫َمن َت َشا ُء ِب َي ِد َك ْال َخ ْي ُر‬
‫ِإ َّن َك َع َل ٰى ُك ِّل َش ْي ٍء َق ِدي ٌر‬
"O Allah! Possessor of the
kingdom, You give the kingdom
to whom You will, and You take
the kingdom from whom You
will, and You endue with
honour whom You will, and
You humiliate whom You will.
In Your Hand is the good. Verily,
You are Able to do all things."
(Qur'an 3:26)

"All the praises and thanks be to
Allah, Who has guided us to this,
never could we have found
guidance, were it not that
Allah had guided us!
Indeed, the Messengers of our
Lord did come with the truth."

for Steadfastness:

ِ ‫اط َر ال َّس َم َاوا‬
‫َولِيِّي ِفي ال ُّد ْن َيا َواآْل ِخ َر ِة َت َو َّف ِني‬
‫ين‬َ ِ ِ ‫ح‬ ‫ل‬ ‫َّا‬

"The (only) Creator of the
heavens and the earth! You are
my Wali (Protector, Helper,
Supporter, Guardian, etc.) in
this world and in the Hereafter,
cause me to die as a Muslim
(the one submitting to Allah's
Will), and join me with
the righteous."
(Qur'an 12:101)

concerning Allah's Knowledge:
‫َر َّب َنا ِإ َّن َك َت ْع َل ُم َما ُن ْخ ِفي َو َما‬

‫ُن ْعلِنُ َو َما َي ْخ َف ٰى َع َلى هَّللا ِ ِمن‬
‫ض َو ِفي‬ ‫اَل‬ ‫َأْل‬
ِ ‫َش ْي ٍء ِفي ا ر‬

‫ال َّس َما ِء‬
"Our Lord! Certainly,
You know what we conceal
and what we reveal.
Nothing on the earth or in the
heaven is hidden from Allah."
(Qur'an 14:38)

Sulaiman (a.s) praising

Allah, Who has preferred us
above many of His believing
slaves!"

Allah, Who has fulfilled His
Promise to us and has made us
inherit (this) land. We can dwell
in Paradise where we will;
how excellent a reward for the
(pious good) workers!"

"My Lord! Grant me that I may be
grateful for Your Favour which
You have bestowed upon me and
upon my parents, and that I may
do righteous good deeds, such as
please You, and make my
offspring good. Truly, I have
turned to You in repentance, and
truly, I am one of the Muslims."

for Forgiveness:
‫َس ِم ْع َنا َوَأ َط ْع َنا ُغ ْف َرا َن َك َر َّب َنا‬

"We hear, and we obey.
(We seek) Your Forgiveness,
our Lord, and to You is the
return (of all)."
(Qur'an 2:285)

"Our Lord! Punish us not if we

forget or fall into error;
Our Lord! Lay not on us a
burden like that which You did
lay on those before us;
Our Lord! Put not on us a
burden greater than we have
strength to bear.
Pardon us and grant us
Forgiveness. Have mercy on us.
You are our Maula (Protector,
Supporter, Patron), and help us
against the disbelieving people."
(Qur'an 2:286)

and our transgressions

make our steps firm, and help
us against the disbelieving

‫َوِإن لَّ ْم َت ْغ ِف ْر َل َنا َو َت ْر َح ْم َنا‬

‫ال‬ ‫َل َن ُكو َننَّ ِم َن‬
"Our Lord! We have wronged
ourselves. If You forgive us not,
and bestow not upon us Your
Mercy, we shall certainly be
of the losers."

seeking Refuge:

patience, make our steps firm
and help us against the
disbelieving people."

Truly, You are the One
Who accepts repentance,
the Most Merciful."

this town whose people are
oppressors; and raise for us
from You one who will protect,
and raise for us from You
