1.1 Positioning
This chapter describes for eWBB TDD 3.0 version. This version is face to the basic function
of broadband trunking wireless enterprise network.
The core network platform includes the eCNS210 and the related multi-media dispatch
equipments.
The eCNS210 is a device of the core network (CN) in the Time Division Duplex-Long Term
Evolution (TDD-LTE) radio trunking system.
The eCNS210 adopts centralized deployment to provide registration data management,
authentication management, mobility management, gateway management and digital trunking
service. It also implements dispatch function by connecting a dispatch system, and
communicates with the external data network by connecting an application server.
The multi-media dispatch equipments are the new generation multi-media dispatching system
based on IP communication technology, used for group call dispatching, video monitor and
multi-media unite dispatching.
1.2 Features
1.2.1 Feature of eCNS210
eCNS210 uses the large-scale commercial and mature ATCA hardware
platform that has many outstanding features.
ATCA (Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture) is Advanced
Telecom Computing Architecture standard of hardware. At the same time, the
hardware platform is a high density, high-performance professional server
systems for the professional application of industrial customers to provide
reliable data processing and computing services.
Characteristics:
High Rate
High-speed serial data links and exchange structure, and the data bandwidth
of up to 2.5Tbit / s.
High Availability
All boards are equipped with hot-swap capability and all the
key components (such as power, fans, management modules, boards, etc.) to
achieve redundancy, the system can reach 99.999% availability.。
Good expandability
Support the interface expansion of ATCA boards and the cascade between
with boxes.
Good upgradability
Backplane bandwidth can be smoothly upgraded to 10GE, and performance
of interface board is easy to upgrade.
Good manageability
Standard bus, and any components can be control.
The dispatch system is a graphical dispatch system, able to display the current
state of each terminal, and dispatchers can easily carry out a variety of scheduling
operation, such as voice, instruction, and video.
The system is completely IP-based network able to provide a complete API
interface to facilitate the secondary development, to achieve integration with other
applications, to better meet the user a variety of professional needs. The dispatch
system consists of two parts: MDS and console.
MDS is a dedicated server developed for enterprise customers. The following
figure shows it.
The console is the terminal platform, through which dispatchers operate. The
console can be a desktop and notebook computers, can also be a dedicated
computer.

Figure 2-1 shows the eCNS210 networking and peripherals.
The eCNS210 communicates with the eNodeB through the S1 interface in the form of
signaling and data.
The eCNS210 communicates with a dispatch system through the Tx interface, performing
group calls between the core network and the dispatch system.
The eCNS210 communicates with external data network or application server through the SGi
interface, implementing data exchange between the core network and the external data
network or application server.
The eOMC910 and the operation and maintenance system perform operation and maintenance
on the eCNS210.

Shown as the figure, the dispatch system includes: multi-media dispatch server(MDS), MDS
dispatching console(MDS-SVP), video and audio record server(MDS-VCR), Video agency
gateway(GVS), trans-code server(MDVS),and decode machine,vidicon, PTT mic external
equipments.
Have two interfaces between MDS and eCNS210:open user interface and SIP signaling
interface which is used for group call and private call controlling.
AMR voice will be transported between MDS and eCNS210, MDS will transfer AMR to
other code in order to interoperate with PSTN.
The video compression code of the dispatching system is H.264. GVS is responsible for
interworking with the third party. MDS-VCR supports to record and save the voice and video,
file management. MDVS is used to transform different video code type. MDS-SVP is
responsible for video dispatch operation and H.264 video decoding and displaying.
