Forests are one of the most important resources in the Philippines, but they are severely
depressed due to logging. Some groups benefit from deforestation. These groups include the
government over population and commercial or (illegal or legal) loggers. Forest resources
are rapidly being depleted, so there is a real possibility that the Philippine forest will be
practically eliminated in the next 20 years.
This research aims to let us know how alarming deforestation is and the concern that we
may lose forests. On the other hand, some people depend on wood because the forest is one
of the greatest resources they depend on to survive and it helps our community and citizens.
The simplest personal strategy to combat deforestation is to plant a tree. Planting a tree can
be seen as a lifetime investment in the environment and in your good mental health.
