SCENARIO
Orchid Hotels is one of the famous brand of low-cost hotel chain in Malaysia. Headquartered
in Penang, it has other branches in Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Malacca and at the central of
Kuala Lumpur. The hotel provides good quality of room with private bathroom and basic
amenities for their customers’ comfort. Even though the rooms are minimally priced, Orchid
Hotels provide free housekeeping and laundry services together with wireless Internet
services for their customers to use. For security purpose, each room has electronic key card
access and the hotel is fully equipped with CCTV systems. All reservations are made through
Orchid Hotel website and few PCs are located at the lobby area for walk in customers to
make the reservation.
The hotel management has decided to expand their business to Bukit Jalil area, since there
will be a massive upcoming development of shopping complex and amenities nearby. The
huge Bukit Jalil National Stadium is also an added advantage to the area, as it can host
various events such as sport games, concerts or exhibitions. Another attraction to Bukit Jalil
is the easy accessibility either through major highways, or public transport services to the
central of Kuala Lumpur.
