Learning basic of Microsoft word and composing a document.

INTRODUCTION
We can use microsoft word to type letters,reports,and other docoments .it can be used in schools
for preperaring assingments,labs and for other learning purposes
In this seccion we gonna discuss about microsoft word and knowledge about intereracting with
word.

QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR

Next to the logo of Microsoft word on top right is quick Access toolbar. IT provide us with frequent
commands such as Save as, undo, redo appears on quick access toolbar . we can use use them to
save our file ,to move to the previous actions ,and redo to apply that action again.

The title bar

Next to the quick access toolbar is the title bar. It displays the title or the name of the document that
we have saved. When you save the document such as the document I have saved Pervez ali is written
on the title bar.

The Ribbon
The ribbon is a set of toolbars at the top of the window in Office programs
designed to help you quickly find the commands that you need to complete a task.

The Ruler
the Ruler is located below the ribbon around the edge of the document .We can use the ruler to
change the format of our writing. If Ruler is not already visible then these are the steps to follow.
Click the view tab on the ribbon
Click the check box next to ruler

The text area

Below the ruler the empty area for writing is the text area. You can use this for your
Docomentation. The blinking line the text area is the cursor .Cursor is used for pointing or where
should our text is to be placed. As we type our text Displays at cursor location.

The vertical and horizontal and vertical scroll bars

The vertical scroll bar is located on the right corner.it enables us move up and down while our
Documentation by simply dragging the icon of scroll bar
The horizontal barr is located on top bottom of the screen just above the status bar. Sometimes we
are unable to see this because width of our document fits on screen

The status bar

A status appears at the very bottom of your window and provide such information such as the
Current page and the number of words in the document.By clicking on the status bar you can
Change what appears on the status bar and selecting the options you want from the customized
Status bar. You click to select it and again select to deselect it.
Understanding document views
In word 2010 , you can display your document in one of five views :draft, web layout, print layout , full screen
Reading , or online layout
Draft view
Draft view is most commonly used view .you use draft view to quickly edit your document.
Web layout
Web layout view enables you to see your document as it would appear in a browser such as internet Explorer.
Print layout
The print layout shows how there file be seen when it’s printed
Reading layout
Reading layout view formats your screen to make reading your document more comfortable.
Outline view
Outline view displays the document in outline form. You can display heading the companying
Text moves with it

Using shortcut keys

By using shortcut keys it becomes easy for user to work more rapidly. Shortcuts are easier and

COMPONENTS OF A PC

SYSTEM UNIT

It is most essential part of a computer system .It consists of motherboard, Power supply,

and the storage devices.

MOTHER BOARD
The mother board is the place where all parts of computer comes into connection.it

connects cpu ,memory, hard drives, optical drives, video card ,sound card and other ports

buses,directly via cable, it is certainlly considered as the backbone of the computer

Proccessor chip

It is an integerated circuit(chip) containing the cpu circuity for a microprocessor
