7.

A axis origin return

(1) Turn on the power.


* Required time: 3 minutes Number of persons: 1

(2) After confirming that the following three alarms have generated, turn the power back on:
300 A-axis origin return request alarm
306 APC alarm: A-axis battery voltage 0
382 A axis: Count error (separate type)

(3) Bring up the CNC screen by referring to Appendix 1.

(4) Return the A axis to origin.


* Required time: 1 minute, Number of persons: 1

Returning the A axis to origin


[1] Make sure only alarm 300 “A-axis origin return request” is present.
If other alarm is present because the parameter write function is enabled:
AMNC-F → Press the reset button.
AMNC-Light Æ Press the CAN and reset buttons simultaneously.
[2] Select “Manual Mode,” and manually “insert” the shot pin.
[3] Select “Manual Mode” and “Cycle,” and press “Punching” for a brief period (until the displayed
Z position becomes near –180.)
[4] Select “Origin Mode” and “Cycle,” and press “Punching” to perform origin return.

(5) Make sure only alarm 300 “A-axis origin return request” is present.
If other alarm is present because the parameter write function is enabled, reset the alarm by
following the procedure below:
AMNC-F → Press the reset button.
AMNC-Light → Press the CAN and reset buttons simultaneously.

(6) Select “Manual Mode,” and manually “insert” the shot pin.
* Confirm that no tool is set and the station is not an AI station.

(7) Select “Manual Mode” and “Cycle,” and press “Punching” for a brief period (until the displayed Z
position becomes near -180.)
* If selecting “Manual Mode” in steps (7) and (8) generates an alarm, such as “Index clamp
(lower) B error,” set the “INDEX” branch board switch to “OFF.”
Make sure you reset the switch (set it to “ON”) before performing XYT origin return.

(8) Select “Origin Mode” and “Cycle,” and press “Punching” to perform origin return.

(9) Reset the origin return request alarm using the reset button.
