Activity 2
Gender roles in society means how we’re expected to act, speak, dress, groom, and conduct
ourselves based upon our assigned. Every society, ethnic group, and culture has gender role expectations,
but they can be very different from group to group. They can also change in the same society over time.
While Gender roles can be conceptualized as behavioral expectations based on biological sex.
Traditionally, for men to be masculine, they are expected to display attributes such as strength, power,
and competitiveness, and less openly display emotion and affection. Both gender roles and gender-role
stress have been associated with body image attitudes in men.

Gender identity is about who you are. It means how you experience your own gender. It may seem
simple, but it is a lot more complex than you might think. gender identity is about how you experience
your own gender, despite what society expects. Your gender can be shown through your identity. Feeling
able to show your true gender identity is important to your emotional and mental health.

Gender equality is a basic human right and described as; “all human beings are born equal”. It
means that everyone, whether born as male, female or intersex, should be able to develop their full
potential and live in freedom and dignity. Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition
for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good
governance.

The manifestation of gender inequality is multidimensional. Uneven access to education,


Lack of employment equality, Job segregation, Lack of legal protections, Lack of bodily
autonomy, Poor medical care, Lack of religious freedom, Lack of political representation,
Racism and Societal mindsets are the cause of gender inequality. Gender inequality may be apparent,
interpretations for the existence of such problems span a broad spectrum, hereby an individual’s
experience in society is a reflection of discrimination based on innate biological or physiological and
psychological sex differences.
Activity 3
Family
The family is an arena of power and politics. Power dynamics in families and households interact
with those in the ‘public’ sphere in shaping development outcomes. Family means a group of persons
united by the ties of marriage, blood, or adoption, constituting a single household and interacting
with each other in their respective social positions, usually those of spouses, parents, children, and
siblings.

Peer
Peer is a group of people, usually of similar age, background, and social status, with whom a
person associates and who are likely to influence the person's beliefs and behavior

School Community
A school community is an educational institution designed to provide learning spaces and
learning environments for the teaching of students under the direction of teachers.

Sexual Violence
Rape within marriage or dating relationships; rape by strangers; unwanted sexual
advances or sexual harassment including demanding sex in return for favors; sexual
abuse to mentally or physically disabled people; sexual abuse of children.

Psychological Violence
Isolation from others, verbal aggression, threats, intimidation, control,
harassment or stalking, insults, humiliation and defamation.
Following you around or spying on you. Sending you unwanted emails or letters
and calling you often.

Economic Abuse
Controlling a partner’s credit cards, bank account and access to money.

ACTIVITY 2
People using drugs in generally speaking, people start using drugs to escape or
mask pain. In some individuals, the onset of drug use can be from untreated psychiatric
issues including anxiety and depression. The rush of pleasure from using drugs can
provide temporary solace from suffering, which can stem from many mental health or
other issues.
Drug addiction is not a hallmark of moral failure or lack of willpower—it’s a
complex disease that deserves long-term, extensive treatment, just like any other
chronic condition.
ACTIVITY 3
SLASH AND BURN

Slash and burn is a widely used method of growing food in which wild or forested
land is clear cut and any remaining vegetation burned. Slash and burn results in soil
erosion, accompanying landslides, water contamination, and dust clouds. As without
tress and vegetation and their root systems, soil washes away during heavy rains and
blows away during droughts. The impact of slash and burn is particularly destructive
and unsustainable. It exacerbates destructive impacts on already fragile ecosystems and
contributes to climate change.

ACTIVITY 1

Freedom of the press prohibits the government from interfering with the printing
and distribution of information or opinions. It can be limited by libel and copyright
laws, and it doesn’t include the act of news gathering.
Freedom of assembly, sometimes used interchangeably with the freedom of
association, is the individual right to come together and collectively express, promote,
pursue and defend common interests. The right to freedom of association is recognized
as a human right, a political freedom and a civil liberty. This freedom can be limited by
laws that protect public safety.
Freedom of expression includes freedom of speech, of the press, of association, of
assembly and petition. This freedom doesn’t extend to expression that defames, causes
panic, creates fighting words, incites people to crime, creates sedition, or is obscene.
Freedom of speech is the right of people to express their opinions publicly without
governmental interference. The right doesn’t extend to hate speech, advertising, child
pornography, and a few other instances.  
Freedom of religion is the freedom of an individual or community, in public or
private, to manifest religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship, and observance.
This right extends to any religious belief, but not in the practice of all religious activities
(for example, ones that involve breaking other laws).

ACTIVITY 2

Team building refers to the various activities/steps undertaken to motivate the


team members and increase the overall performance of the team – leadership is the key
ingredient to promulgating the very act of team building. It helps create motivation,
build better communication, build better problem solving skills, open up social gates,
learn strategic ways to utilize your team’s strengths.
Servant leader is once you've decided to prioritize other people's needs over your
own in the long term, you can work on developing your skills in each area. Listening,
empathy, healing, self-awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship,
commitment to the growth of people is the characteristics of a servant leader.

ACTIVITY 4

If you want to be a leader, be a good listener and follower. Listening is


appreciating others, and is the best way to build trust. As a leader, always assure that
know that you appreciate and love your followers. Doing that plays a key role in helping
them reach their maximums. Listening and following plays a huge role. We all have
need to be recognized in some way. The easiest way is to recognize someone is by
listening and appreciating them.
