In one of the vlogs or video blog of a Canadian youtuber known as Becoming Filipino, he went

to a fish market in Tawi-tawi, Mindanao and showed the varieties of fishes that are offered, From

lapu-lapu to yellowfins. They are freshly harvested from the seas of Mindanao and are sold by

the locals in the markets of Tawi-tawi. The Canadian youtuber was praised for being able to

expose and appreciate the simple things that these places have to offer. He did not only show his

viewers the things that Mindanao has to offer, but he was also able to experience it. He wore the

traditional clothes of Muslims, went to a Mosque, and told his viewer about its history and

origin.

The video showed how foreign people enjoys and appreciates the beauty of the

Philippines. They appreciate now only those are highly recognized and famous things like the

Boracay and such but also those unrecognized places and traditions. These unseen spots and

traditions were given the exposure of someone who was not even from the country. They do not

care about the negative images and unpleasant rumors about a certain place. Because to criticize

something, we must first have the ability to experience it. The video only shows that sometimes

the unrecognized are the ones who are able to offer more and shows more beauty.
