Course Description: Reading and Writing is one of the two English subjects in the core curriculum of K to 12 Senior High School. It is highly considered as a communication
tool that requires students to demonstrate critical thinking (1) and organizing skills (2) towards effective communication (3). It necessitates the
development of the macro skills but gives emphasis on reading and writing. It exposes students to a wide range of interdisciplinary materials through
process-product approach.

Learning Objectives: The learner produces academic and professional correspondence specific to his or her track following the requirements and properties of well-written texts
and process-product approach to writing.

Requirements Students enrolled in this subject should accomplish the following as bases for passing the subject:

1. Number of attendance should meet at least half of the total Synchronous sessions;
2. Should submit/accomplish all written works, performance tasks, and quarterly assessments; and
3. Midterm and Final Average grade should be at least 75%.
