Welcome to Bansarvils’ MOBILE LEGEND BANG BANG: An E-SPORTS mania!

- Elham M. Pundaodaya

Released in 2016, the game has become popular in Southeast Asia and was among
the games chosen for the first medal event esports competition at the 2019
Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. Mobile Legends is officially a sport at the
2019 SEA Games.

September 18 – 25, 2021 was the clash timeframe of the event spearheaded by the
Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) members, Kyriss Rica Bandiala, and Jeric Earl Gallego
for the technical support. The event was held annually that had started the year 2020
when the Pandemic boomed as well as the community quarantines.

Having no Physical and face-to-face sports in the meantime, the SK came up with
this idea. According to Miss Bandiala, this event was to support healthy relationships
among youths that have been deprived of connection and socialization. Rather than
developing negative habits like using drugs, being an irresponsible youth, and being
an alcoholic, Mobile Legend: Bang Bang led the youth to bond as a team.

The tournament was open to all

individual players, either Male or Female
and Mixed Teams that were composed
of 5 to 6 members. The game had begun
in the playoff stage. The playoffs stage
was a double round-robin, there were top
two (2) teams that has to advances to
the Finals. The finals were a Best-of-5
game until Victory comes to those team
that has great perseverance.

Winner: AHUZ Squad.
