you create a good dialog
that meets all the
requirements.

GUIDELINES
CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
The dialog involves contents seen in unit 5 of Discoveries.You should be
able to integrate the following:

1.- Present progressive for future arrangements


2.- Present progressive for actions happening in the moment.
3.- Use the three forms of the tense, that means, affirmative, negative and
interrogative form
4.- At least 5 verbs seen in the unit.

• If you wish, you can also add contents from other units to enrich your dialog;
however, the focus will be on the contents above.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• The conversation should last minimum 2 minutes and maximum 3.
• Both students must appear on the video.
• Before starting the dialog both of you have to say your names and course you
belong to (regardless if it is mentioned in the actual conversation).
• You can record on any platform compatible with Windows. You can use Microsoft
Teams, Meet or Zoom, or any other platform where you can record. Also, you can store
your video on OneDrive or Google Drive and share the link from there.
• Make sure there are no background noises that could affect comprehension.
• As your face must be visible, ensure there is enough light in the room.
• You must upload the link of your video to Aiep’s Aula Virtual on

Situation: Friends talk about their summer vacation plans
(On the phone)

Jimmy: Hello? Hey, Lynn, do you have a minute? I’m bored.


Lynn: Hi, Jimmy. Sure. What’s up?
Jimmy: Is it true you’re going to The United States this week? Peter told me.
Lynn: Yeah, I’m visiting my aunt and uncle there.
Jimmy: That’s awesome.
Lynn: Yes! I’m very excited about this trip. I’m packing some things right now.
Jimmy: So soon?
Lynn: Jajaja. You know I’m forgetful so I have to check stuff more tan twice.
Jimmy: How about meeting at the mall after you finish?

Lynn: By the way, what are you doing now?
Jimmy: I’m not doing anything. Just watching a series. Continue packing. See you tomorrow.
Lynn: Alright. See you!
