6. Filling in reservation time and writing a reservation letter

I. Instructional Objectivities :

By the end of this lesson, the students are able to :

1. Use special expressions in making reservations directly and by telephone.

2. Filling the time of reservations

3. Often fasilities in the hotel, restaurant and travel agency

4. Ask above certain things request by guest.

III. Teaching, Learning activity

a. Pre Activity

~ The teacher enters the class and gives greeting to the students.

Activity 1 : Listening

The students listen to the teacher and then they answer some

questions.

1. What do you call a person in uniform who welcomes the

guest in the front office ?

2. What do you call a person who is responsible for the

finance ?

3. What do you call a person who cleans and makes the room

today ?

Activity 2 : Speaking

1. Ask the students to read the dialogue and practice in front of

the class in pairs.

2. Ask the students to answer the questions based on the

dialogue.

3. Ask the students to fill in the blanks with the right words

4. Ask them to point out expresional of reservation.


Activity 3 : Reading

1. Ask the students to read the text loudly (6 person)

2. Ask the students to answer the questions based on the reading

text.

3. Ask the students to look for and to underline the difficult

words.

4. Ask the students to complete the sentence with the words

given.

Activity 4 : Writing

Answer these questions with future perfect form

1. Where do you sit at this time tomorrow ?

2. When will she have studied this chapter ?

3. Where will uncle have lived by the end of the month ?

4. How will police have found the robber by the end of the third

day ?

5. What will the to fore noun have done in his lifetime after

returning ?

c. Post Activity

1. The Teacher asks the students to translate the reading text given.

2. The Teacher asks the students to write some expressions about reservation

3. The Teacher asks the students to fill the registration card

4. The Teacher asks the students to write the reservations letter

5. The Teacher collects their task

6. The Teacher checks the wrong expression.

3. Fine sir, what name is it for, sir ?

4. It`s $ 200 a day, including breakfast and 10% tax

5. A single room or a double room, sir ?

6. All right, a single room for Mr.Shea, Friday 7th june.

7. Certainly Mr Shea, our airport transfer service will pick you up at 3 PM at

the airport next friday ?

8. Good morning, may I help you ?

B : 1. Can I have a single room ?

2. It`s for Shea, Paul Shea

3. Shea ? that`s S H E A
4. I`d like to reserve a room, please.

5. It`s for next week and starting from friday 7th june

6. How much is it ?
