Pursuing Intimacy To Christ
Pursuing Intimacy To Christ
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I
may declare all Your works.
Psalm 73:28 NKJV
God want all of us to be happy. His desire for everyone is to be joyful. But many
people pursue it not according to His will. Even Christians can wrongly do it. We tend
to substitute it with our self-centered ways. Which is shallow and empty. Or shall we
say, pursuing nothing.
The Psalmist wrote his experience on being near to God; it was good, and we can
see on other translation, it was "REFRESHING"
But I’m in the very presence of God— oh, how refreshing it is! (The Message)
The Psalmist want to tell the world the very exact way to live heaven on earth. And it
is living into His presence.
God revealed to us the truth on how we can be truly happy. Happiness that the world
cannot offer. Happiness that will last forever. And that is by way of pursuing intimacy
to Him.
And when we truly experience the joy of His presence. Willingly, we also desire
others to experience it too. As what the Psalmist experienced and said; "Taste and
see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!" (Psalm
34:8)
