Becoming an educator is something I am passionate about accomplishing because I hope

to connect with children in ways that will lead them to success and leave a positive impact in

their life. The roles and responsibilities of a good teacher are preparing content that will make an

impact on my students, ensuring that I am attending to every students’ needs, and leaving my

students with skills they will use for the rest of their lives. I believe that being prepared and

dedicated to my students makes a difference in a child’s educational journey. I believe that all

children learn in their own unique ways, which may be a result of a difference in their learning

styles, the environment that they live in, and how they connect with their teachers. Some

qualities of an excellent teacher are empathy, a helping heart, determination, and patience. Not

only does empathy, determination, and patience make an excellent educator, it makes an

excellent student. As an educator I am prepared to be a role model for my students. Student

learning and potential are maximized by their learning needs and styles being met. The role of

the family in teaching is crucial. Teaching is the most important career in society because

children are the future of our world and raising educated and empathetic children will help

develop our society. I hope that as an educator, I can make a difference in a child’s life and be
