Republic Act No. Pandan,
9211, alsoPanabo
known City, Davao
as the del Norte
Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003, is an omnibus law regulating smoking in public
places, tobacco advertising, promotion, and sponsorship, and sales restrictions, among other requirements. This Act was
designed to promote a healthy environment and protect citizens from the hazards of tobacco smoke. To ensure a more
efficient implementation of the said act, it has provided the local government units with authority to formulate enact and
implement programs to control the increase of tobacco smoking within their locality.

To guarantee a more effective implementation and enforcement of this Act to all the localities, a campaign is made to
ensure its successful enforcement and implementation. The Anti-Smoking Program is one of the programs of the national

be effective if the government will respond to the needs of the community and if it will incorporate strong monitoring and
evaluating components in enforcing the campaign. Anti-Smoking Campaign efforts typically focus on minors –children and
teens.

This campaign aims to reduce the motivation of the individuals to use tobacco by increasing their knowledge about the
