Another reason to question whether we should follow cross-species transplants is the ethical
issue. Some cultures are already opposed to organ transplants and will undoubtedly be against
the concept of introducing animal parts into the human body. In Islam, for instance, eating pork is
forbidden, so it follows that using pig’s body parts for organ transplants would also be opposed.
Additionally, it is reasonable to assume that individuals in society might have problems with the
idea of incorporating animal organs into their body or a relative’s body. Further, this kind of
medical procedure may result in cultural bias, providing benefits only to those whose beliefs
accept it. In this respect, it would make better sense to further develop other approaches to the
problem, such as artificial organs, to deal with transplants

Further, this kind of medical procedure may result in cultural bias, providing benefits only to
