Outcomes-Based Teaching and Learning Plan for ChE63 – Heat and Mass Transfer

Graduates of the Cagayan State University should be able to exhibit:

This course discusses the application of heat transfer and mass transfer to the design of equipment employing heat
Course Description
exchange, mass exchange and simultaneous heat and mass exchange.
1. The student grades are based on the following weighting factors:
(Σ Quizzes + 2*Major exam)/5 ≥60
2. The students must satisfy a cut-off score/average of at least 60%, equivalent to a grade of 75.00, in order to pass the
subject.
Grading System
A student is “Dropped” if it exceeded 20% of the total number of hours allotted for the course before the Mid-Term
examination day. A “Failed” grade is given if the accumulated absences exceeded the 20% allowance during the Final
term.

Final Examination

Values and Gender Sensitivity Integration:

Proper housekeeping will be observed.


Students are required to use gender sensitive language and visual materials in oral and visual presentations.
The members of the group in any laboratory activities shall be selected randomly.
All students are required to perform actual demonstration of class/laboratory activity.

Course Policies and standard:


1. Attendance
Attendance is a must and will be checked every e-class meeting. Those who do not have internet connection, text message acknowledging
receipt of hard copies of the module will do.
2. Academic Integrity
All forms of cheating and plagiarism are strictly prohibited. Anyone who violates will be dealt with disciplinary action.
3. Dropping
A student is considered officially dropped upon submission of the instructor’s copy of the duly accomplished dropping slip before the scheduled
deadline of the dropping. This may be done online.
