ACTIVITY 1:
1. Redefine Cardinal Arinze’s definition of Interreligious Dialogue in your own words.
- Interreligious Dialogue is the universal dialect where people of different religions become one
with the feeling of openness and freedom to each other. In this way, it would benefit all religions
and it will help unite us as one world. It may be also seen as a movement of people in which we
see value to each other and use a dialect wherein we would understand our openness to each
other
2. Based on the story, what are some reasons you find for entering into a dialogue about faith
with your friends and neighbors of other faiths?
- I enter a dialogue about faith to my friends/neighbors with other faiths when it will benefit them
in their journey. Religion is just a belief of one person, but in the eyes of God, we are obliged to
give a hand to other regardless of religion. In my case, I use my faith in providing guidance to
my friends or neighbors with other faiths because the same faith the I share saved me from
becoming a person who lacks hope on things. Faith for me is a bridge in which we connect with
each other in whatever way we believe it because faith only points in one direction, and that is
seeing God as the light in the road.

ACTIVITY 2:
1. Describe your experience when you visited a place of worship or joined a worship activity of
others from another religion.
- I was invited by a friend in a religious program wherein they worship and sing to the Lord. They
are in another religion which is born-again Christians. In the program, I felt a connection to
those who perform. The way they sing and play instruments such as guitars and drums and
pianos just like a band for the lord.
2. What similarities and differences from your religion have you discovered?
- I can see that we worship very similar but in different ways. They set Sunday as their worship
day just like ours and prays just like us. The only difference is that they sing their hearts out to
worship God. They use Guitars, piano, drums, and many more instruments just like rock bands.
Their way of worshipping God made me realize that we are no different when we show faith to
God.
3. Do you think those differences could be an obstacle for you in building a harmonious
relationship with them?
- No, those differences would only help us form a strong bond with each other. It is the same as
other religions because we all know that we believe in one God and we worship him but in
different ways. Religion is just a title of a person’s belief. But as a person, we connect and bond
with judgement on what our faith believes in.
