Article Summary:
The headline is all about the force requiring the employees in some of the private
and public companies to get fully vaccinated. As well as the following actions that
currently taking a response to prevent those kinds of illegal schemes that may lead to
inhumane and bias treatment to those employees that got vaccinated and to those
workers who are not yet vaccinated.

In his article, Mr. Santos (2021) stated that it is unlawful to retain the salary of the
workers because of being not fully vaccinated, “vaccine cards shall not be considered
as an additional mandatory requirement for educational, employment, and other similar
government transactions processes." He also added. Some senators have been calling
out the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to investigate and take
immediate action against those companies that kept violating the Labor Code for not
paying the wages of their workers because of the said scheme.

The company should be responsible to pay them even if they are vaccinated or
not. Instead of making unacceptable schemes just to be safe from the virus, companies
must urge them and do good ways to educate their workers the perks of being
vaccinated.

Reaction:

As I read the article, I feel disappointed with those companies implementing

illegal schemes which many employees getting discrimination to their work because
some of them were still not yet vaccinated, violating the rights of workers to get paid for
their job. I suggest that this is a must to take legal and immediate action for the violation
of those companies implementing illegal schemes. Instead, companies should pursue
their workers in a good way to get vaccinated, educate them that being vaccinated
worker is helpful especially, to ensure their family’s health and safety.
