Conclusions:
• Main asset: (almost) all the
parameters related to a construction
project are available
• Limitation: lack of flexibility for
incorporating new (i.e. non-existing)
parameters

Conclusions

• General classification system, encompassing almost all aspects of a

construction project (technical, financial, human resources,
document management, etc.)

• Caveat: lack of flexibility to include newly available products

• Widely used and documented

• (Relatively) smooth integration with software tools

• Revit: Classification Manager add-in
• ARCHICAD 18 and 19: Omniclass tables available (*)
• Can be exported to IFC as classification systems (IfcClassificationReference)
or via Property Sets
