Overland Lhasa Tour

Lhasa, which stands 3650m, is one of the places that trekkers would love to visit. It’s not only because of the
elevation but also because of different cultural and spiritual history that lies over there. Lhasa is named after Lord
Buddha, which is the reason why it is also recognized as Buddha Land or Holy Land.

We start our journey by taking a mountain flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu which will offer you spectacular views
of mountain like Mount Everest. Once we land, we explore things around Lhasa such as heritage sites,
monasteries, old section of the city and more. The charms contain the greatest Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace,
Bharkhor market, Sera Monasteries and several more. After you are done exploring, we leave Lhasa in a 4W Jeep
via Turquoise Lake, Yamdrok Tso to Gyantse. In Gyantse, we will be visiting the well-known Gyantse Fort and
Kumbum Monastery. We drive to Shigatse after that, which offers us wonderful places to visit such as Tashilhunpo
Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama and many more. Later, our trip continues via high passes above 5000m.
Then, we gather everybody around and visit Nomad Camps and enjoy the rest of our day sightseeing the vast
Tibetan Plateau. We will be off to the place named Tingri after that. From Tingri, we will be setting our eyes on the
greatest Mountains in the world like Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Shishapangma. Our tour comes to end after
this and we will be heading back to Kathmandu via Bhotekoshi River.

Lhasa is one of the places to visit once in your lifetime because it is not just about sightseeing but also about
learning different cultures; experiencing what would it be like to go over mountains, et-cetera. So, if you are
interested in Overland Lhasa Tour, we (Nepal Kailash Trekking) would love to accommodate you with our
itineraries.
