Forever Friends

Have you ever met people that just get on your nerves so bad you could hit them in the

nose, but at the same time you love them so much? Well that’s what I have with my two best

friends, Katelyn and Harlie. We’ve had our ups and downs, but it has brought us closer over the

years. And I wouldn’t trade them for the world because people like them only come once in a life

time, it’s kind of like when you are younger you have your favorite barbie doll and this barbie is

the best thing in the world, you go everywhere with It and if you ever lost it you would be

devastated, because this barbie has been through everything with you, from your first tea party,

to your first bath and dress up. You’ve told it everything and it stuck with you through it all even

if you didn’t treat it very good over time.

So, Before I even knew Katelyn, I had her boyfriend in my choir class, He would always

say how Katelyn was crazy and would kill him for even having a conversation with a girl. So, I

never really had spoken to Katelyn until the choir trip that started our friendship. Katelyn had

gotten paired into mine and Camdons room with another girl and this other girl would do things

that made us uncomfortable to sleep in the same bed with her. There were two beds so, Camdon,

Katelyn and I all slept in the same bed for the whole weekend and eventually Katelyn and I just

stayed with each other the whole trip, eating together, doing activities together and riding rides

together, after that trip Katelyn and I started becoming close friends.

Then, Harlie and I met a year later, I had already knew about Harlie we just never spoke

to each other. Until one day we started messaging about taking our lifeguard certification test

together and after that we just started talking and hanging out. I never knew how crazy Harlie

was until one day she wanted to creep on her boyfriend at the time. And I said yes, and this girl

was literally driving behind a neighborhood just to see if his car was at his house. Keep this in

mind, there wasn’t even a rode behind there just grass and houses between it. So, Harlie and I

grew close over stalking people and drinking lots of sonic sweet tea together.

When Katelyn, Harlie and I all started hanging out it was in October during fall break.

Katelyn didn’t want to hang out with Harlie at first because they had gotten into it in the past.

But I forced her to come to Harlies house anyways so we all can get ready for the halloween

party that night. That night Katelyn dressed as a football player, I dressed as a ref and Harlie

dressed as a cheerleader. We went to the party knowing girls wanted to fight Harlie so we told

Harlie that no matter what they will not touch you, they will have to go through Katelyn and I to

get to you and the hour and a half were there they didn’t even look at her. After an hour into the

party my ex showed up banging on the door telling them to let him in and as soon as he saw me

he freaked out started screaming “who has been messing with Gracesin.” So, after that

everything started to cool down until my ex and his best friend got into a fight, my ex literally

ripped his whole pants, the fight was more of a wrestling around then a fight. He tried to come

up to me and talk to me, but my friends and I left right when he tried. After that night we’ve been

close ever since.

Given that, we are still friends still to this day. Four years later, the only problems we

have now are college and distance. It’s hard on us because we are so used to seeing each other

almost every day and now the only time we get to see each other are on facetime or weekends. It

sucks but when we see each other we always have so much to talk about. We always have so

much fun, the only thing that sucks is when we have to say goodbye but we know that goodbye

isn’t forever and that we will see each other again.

All in all, I never thought I could find people as special as them. They mean the world to

me because we been there for each other, through any girl who tries to mess with one of us.

through all the drama, the heartache, late nights driving around listening to “Rehab” on replay,

stalking people and the many nights we will never forget. I envision life with them in the future,

we will live in the same neighborhood, girl’s nights, our kids being friends and life-long

friendship.
