Friendship and my devoted friend

The international Day of Friendship was proclaimed in 30th July in 2011 with the
idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire
peace efforts and build bridges between communities.
Undoubtedly, a person is happy when he has friends and unhappy when he is
without them. Personally I’m sure that life is meaningless without them, because
sometimes people need a friend to pour their heart out. Of course, most of them
feel safe and protected in the family, but very often it’s a good idea to have a piece
of advice from different people. It’s essential to emphasize that true friendship is
when someone knows you better than yourself and stay with you even you’re at
your worst. In addition, it’s not only communication, but support, mutual
understanding and sympathy. I’m pretty sure that people need a friendship for a
vast number of reasons:
 Firstly, we all expect help and comfort from each other.
 Secondly, these who have friends live happier and longer.
 Thirdly, life without friends seems totally empty and miserable. Because
friendship is usually based on common interests and mutual understanding,
respect to each other and sympathy. Usually people meet, get acquainted,
communicate and then become friends. But only time can show, how strong
their friendship is.
 Last but not least, friends make or life brighter and more interesting.
Best friends support each other in all situations, no matter what. What is more,
they can be a shoulder to cry on. They usually tell secrets and never turn a deaf ear
to each other. In addition, their advices are never discouraging or disrespectful. Very
often friends are everything to us. It’s cool always doing something with them like
dancing at parties or just hanging with them. Really close friends are those who you
love for themselves because of something in their character.
My devoted friend is strong-willed and brave, not afraid to resume his
responsibility ties for his decision. His sympathy and loyalty differs him from other
people. His support during hard times can’t leave me indifferent. I really appreciate
him being honesty to me. I found him great because we always communicate and
have fun together. He is an admirable person because we can tell secrets and never
turn a deaf ear to each other. Common interests made him special to me.
To put in a nutshell, people should appreciate the relations that they have with
their true ones. I know it for sure that a friend is like a four-leaf clover, pretty hard
to find but very lucky to have.
