1. Who needs to be involved in the design of products and services?

- Designing products and services is best done as a project by a group of people
who are responsible for the product from the beginning (concept) to the
conclusion (result) (distribution). A product manager, product designers
(typically engineers), and manufacturing/operations reps make up the majority
of the team. Marketing representatives (at the start and conclusion of each
design phase), accountants (to create cost targets), process engineers (for
process design, tooling/equipment), quality control, and purchasing and supplier
representatives are all added to the team (component design and
manufacturing).
