Capstone Calendar:

October 1 - 8:
● Decide between fantasy-type plot or psychological-type plot
● Decide the theme of the novel
● Conduct research that is needed to write the novel

October 9 - 16:
● Write intro page (hook page) of the novel
● Determine the setting of the novel
● Start character profile for the protagonist

October 17 - 24:
● Finish character profile for the protagonist
● Start character profile for the deuteragonist and antagonist
● Start to outline the beginning, middle, and end of the novel

October 25 - November 2:
● Finish character profiles for the deuteragonist and antagonist
● Start and finish the side character profiles (not as detailed, keep it simple)
● Construct a timeline of important events that will take place

November 3 - 10:
● Write the intended ending of the novel (just the basics of it) and determine how it will end
for each of the characters
● Write chapter outlines for chapters 1 - 3

November 11 - 18:
● Write chapter outlines for chapters 4 - 9
● Start officially writing chapter 1 of the novel

November 19 - 26:
● Write chapter outlines for chapters 10 - 15
● Write chapters 2 and 3 of the novel

November 27 - December 3:
● Write chapter outlines for chapters 16 - 20
● Start writing chapters 4 and 5 of the novel

December 4 - 11:
● Write chapter outlines for chapters 21 - 23 (the final chapters)
● Start writing chapters 6 and 7 of the novel
● Decide on a title for the novel and possible book cover ideas (the art on the cover)
December 12 - 19:
● Finish writing chapters 6 and 7
● Begin to write chapters 8 - 10 of the novel

December 20 - 31:
● Finish writing chapter 8 - 10 of the novel
● Continue writing as many chapters as possible until the end of December

January 1 - 10:
● Proof read the completed written chapters and edit them as well
● Ask for someone who has knowledge in English or literature to read over and edit the
written chapters

January 11 - 20:
● Make the necessary changes to the novel and continue working if time permits it
● If there is time, rough sketch the cover for the novel and create a pen name
