Loop: Sea Water Intake To Drain Bypass

1 Ensure that Pre-commissioning of the plant has been


performed and all punch points have been neutralized
2 Make sure all valves of plant feed piping are closed
3 Make sure the discharge valve of standby pump or any other
pump in this loop is closed

4 Make sure the discharge valve of pump is open and drain


bypass valve is open
5 Keep the sample valve near pump open for evacuation of air

6 Prime the intake suction line from priming point by priming


pump from foot valve to the eye of pump impeller

7 Ensure the air from suction piping is completely evacuated

Start the intake pump with lowest possible frequency and


8 check its rotation. Make corrections in wiring if rotation is
counter clock wise
9 Start the intake pump with gradually increasing its frequency
10 Ensure the discharge pressure of intake pump is according to
its specification once it reaches at its operating frequency

11 Monitor bypass drain pit and ensure proper flushing of this


loop
Test the water sample

results

1 Ensure feed valves and drain valves of all MMF vessels are
open
2 Make sure centrifugal bypass valve is closed
3 Keep the product valves of all MMF Vessels close
4 Ensure the actuator valve at RO Feed of both trains and hand
valve at bypass drain is closed
5 Ensure the actuator valve of RO dump line of both trains is
closed
6
Once favourable parameters are met after chemical
7 treatment, open the feed valve of centrifugal seperator and
close the bypass drain valve gradually

8 Monitor vacuum breaker of centrifugal seperator and MMF


Vessels for the evacuation of air from this loop
9 Monitor the drain pit and ensure proper flushing of this loop
10 Test the water sample
11Ensure proper chemical treatment according to sample test
results

Loop: MMF To RO Dump Line
1 Keep RO Dump Actuator Valve of both trains open
2 Ensure RO Feed Actuator Valve of both trains is closed
Once favourable parameters are met after chemical
3 treatment, open the product valve of all MMF Vessels
gradually and close the drain valves of all MMF Vessels
simultaneously
4 Monitor the drain pit and ensure proper flushing of this loop

5 Open the drain valve of 1st MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 1st MMF Vessel to let it backwash
6 Open the drain valve of 2nd MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 2nd MMF Vessel to let it backwash
7 Open the drain valve of 3rd MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 3rd MMF Vessel to let it backwash
8 Open the drain valve of 4th MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 4th MMF Vessel to let it backwash
9 Open the drain valve of 5th MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 5th MMF Vessel to let it backwash
10 Open the drain valve of 6th MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 6th MMF Vessel to let it backwash
11 Open the drain valve of 7th MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 7th MMF Vessel to let it backwash
12 Open the drain valve of 8th MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 8th MMF Vessel to let it backwash
13 Open the drain valve of 9th MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 9th MMF Vessel to let it backwash
14 Open the drain valve of 10th MMF Vessel and close the feed
valve of 10th MMF Vessel to let it backwash
Once all MMF Vessels are backwashed, closethe drain
15 valves and open the feed valves of all MMF Vessels
gradually
16 Test the water sample
17 Ensure proper chemical treatment according to sample test
results

Loop: MMF To RO Feed Train A
1 Ensure CIP hand valve of RO Train A is closed
2 Keep sample valves at cartridge filter inlet & outlet open for
the air to evacuate
3 Ensure HPP feed hand valve is open
4 Ensure air release valve of cartridge filter is open and drain
valve of cartridge filter is closed
5 Ensure sample valves of all RO vessels and Polishing RO
vessels are open in order to vent the air properly
6 Ensure hand valve at CIP mixing and CIP pump suction is
open for flushing and the air to vent from that loop
7 Ensure drain valve of CIP tank is closed
8 Remove the cap of CIP tank for air evacuation
9 Ensure the throttle valves at RO Product and Polishing RO
Feed are open
Make sure chemical treatment systems at RO feed and RO
10 product are installed and dosing rate is set according to
required specifications
11 Gradually open RO Feed Actuator Valve open and close
Dump Actuator Valce simultaneously
12 Start chemical treatment accordingly
