Source

Information Source

- Phones, radios, and walkie talkies are examples of information sources.

Transmitter

- a part of a device (information source) that transforms an electrical signal into a form that may be sent
via a medium

Channel

- is the medium or channel over which an electrical signal is sent

Noise

- In other terms, a static current or voltage is an unwanted current or voltage that occurs in a circuit.

Receiver

- accepts the signal from the media and transforms it into a form that people can understand.

Destination

- It might be a computer, a phone, or any other device capable of receiving and transmitting data.
B. Solve two (2) of the given problems below. Your group number will be the basis of your assigned
tasks. Show your complete solution

4. Three (3) AM broadcast stations are spaced at 18 kHz, beginning at 73 kHz. Each station is allowed to
transmit modulating up to 6 kHz. Compute for the upper and lower sidebands of each station.

inital frequency fi= 73kHz

final frequency ff = (73 + 18) kHz = 91 kHz

73 79 85 91

5. Given a dc bias of 0.5mA and a bandwidth of 10 kHz, calculate for the n current.

ln = 1.266x10^-9 A

= 1.266nA
