Beef Morcon Recipe

Ingredients

1 kilo flank steak (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flank_steak)


3 cups Beef Stock 0r 3 pieces beef cubes dissolved in 3 cups warm water
6 pcs Calamansi or 1 pc. large Lemon
8 tbsp soy sauce
2 pcs medium sized carrot, sliced to long strips
¾ cup All purpose flour
8 tbsp Canola cooking oil
6 pcs (Tender Juicy) hotdogs
1 small bottle sweet pickled cucumber
4 pcs hard boiled eggs, sliced into quarter
200g Cheedar cheese, cut into ½ inch thick strips
½ tsp Salt

Instructions

1. Pour the Calamansi Juice or Lemon Juice into the meat.


2. Add the Soy sauce into the mixture.
3. Arrange the meat and marinate the beef for at least 1 hour.
4. Put marinated beef in a flat surface and place on one side the pickles, hotdog, carrot, cheese, and egg.
5. Enclose the filling with the Meat then roll it and tie with a cooking string, this will ensure that the meat will
not open-up.
6. Place the flour into a baking pan then dredge the rolled beef into the flour.
7. Pour the cooking oil into the pan and apply heat.
8. Fry the Morcon until it turns medium brown.
9. Transfer the fried Morcon in a deep pan or casserole and pour the beef stock then bring to a boil.
10. Pour half of the Morcon marinade and salt.
11. Put the cover and simmer for about 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
12. Remove the strings from the meat and slice the Morcon into serving sizes and place in a serving dish and
add the sauce.
