Pragmatics is a branch of semiotic linguistics.

Semiotics examines verbal language, symbols, symbols,

signs, and their references and meanings in the vehicle of life. Pragmatics studies the relationship
between language and context and the relationship between language use and its users/speakers. In its
operational action, the pragmatic study attempts to explain how the language serves its speakers in
usage.

In essence, pragmatics is the same as semantics, both discussing meaning. The difference lies in the
