Life changing situations
This project aims to explore how we deal with different changing situations that we face
in our lives.
The project consists of three stages, one per term.
Life changing situations - Stage 1

Stage 1: General description

Practice speaking about new scenarios you have faced with this COVID-19
pandemic.

Procedure

First, download and install Loom/Vidyard. Make sure it works on your


desktop or laptop computer. Watch the following tutorials to do so:

Sample question:

How will your life and relationships change


when this COVID-19 pandemic ends?
Sample answer:
I am now living in a new world. My office has been renovated and
it looks pretty different. Work environment has also changed.
Transport and habits have also been modified. Even family
gatherings and celebrations are somehow different.
Life changing situations
3 From October 11th to October 17th devote 30
minutes to preparing for this video exam (Writing
task).
a. Make sure your computer has all the proper gear (camera,
microphone and internet connection).

b. Start recording using Loom, Vidyard or any other free access


app. Make sure to record both face and screen.

c. Start the activity: read the question, think about your answer for
one minute and, then, answer the question appearing once you
click on start task/activity.

d. You should answer the question orally (2 min).

e. Copy and paste the link in the space provided (Links sent to the
tutor’s email will NOT be marked).

f. You will have 15 minutes to complete the whole activity.

Ground rules
- Have your University ID ready. It must be clearly shown and recorded at the
very beginning of the activity.
- You are not allowed to get any help from third parties.
- You are not allowed to use any dictionaries and/or translators whatsoever.
- You must adhere to time.
- No second attempts and/or extensions of time (EOTs) are to be granted.
Videos (recordings) not meeting given criteria will be
automatically graded 0.0
Make sure videos (recordings) have no access restrictions. This
will automatically invalidate your attempt.
