All Works herein shall be as per NFPA 72 & SAES-B-O14. 9.1 Preparation of Activities + Allthe Trenches within the Conduit Installation Area shall be backfilled and compacted and open gratings covered prior to crecting Scaffolds and Work platforms. 9.2 Seaffolding + Scaffolding will be erected as per Saudi Aramco Scaffold Safety Standards: under supervision of SAS HSE Officer or Site Supervisor. A.qualified Erector shall be in-charge for erecting the scaffolding. Both suspended and free-standing Scaffolds maybe utilized. Scaffolding shall be erected to cover both ends of the location where te conduits will be erected. 9.8 Marking of System- Conduit & Supports Installation ‘+ Prior to Conduit Installation, marking of the Conduit Routing shal ‘be done as per the IFC Drawings at hand. After marking has been ‘completed, conduit supports (ex. clamps) shall be installed in place ‘and checked for proper routing and alignment. 9.4 Painting of Conduits ‘Surface Preperation of Conduit prior to Painting Cleaning by Solvent/Cleaning compounds + Remove all detrimental foreign matter such as oi, grease, dirt, soll, salts, drawing & cutting compounds and other contaminants from steel surfaces by the use of solvents, emulsions, cleaning compounds, steam or other similar materials. Cleaning by Hand tools + Remove mill scale, loose rust and loose paint to the degree specified by hnand wire brushing, hand sanding, hana scraping, hana chipping or other hand impact tools or by a combination of these methods. ‘The subst-ate should have a faint metallic sheen and also be free of oil, ‘grease, dust, soil, salts and other contaminants. Prior to Cable pulling, Conduit size shall be rechecked so that Conduit Fil factor shall exceed NEC Permissible Fill factor.
