In the pond monitoring system, the most important factor has always been water quality.

The
water quality directly affects the health of the fish. Exposure of fish through indelicate levels of
dissolved oxygen may lead to sickness and fatality. Thus, sustaining balanced levels of water
quality parameters is the key to having a thriving tilapia farm. Since we live in the Philippines,
where our climate is challenging to predict and manage, the quality of fish's health and survival
directly affects its growth rate. Also, according to an article written by The Fish Site Team,
Tilapia is the most cultured freshwater fish in the Philippines. It is also one of the most
significant factors in fish farming and agriculture for 30 million people here in the Philippines
since tilapia is also an affordable source of protein for the growing population [1].

This study primarily focuses on the following water quality parameters: temperature, pH level,
and dissolved oxygen level, which are measured through sensors. The user will receive data and
information about the water quality through SMS. The study aims for the system to perform its
intended function in predicting the water quality parameters. This study also helps the farmers
do their monitoring system without hiring an expert worker to improve their operating costs
and efficiency.
