SELF-OBSERVATION
4. What shifts in my thoughts and actions do I hereby intentionally choose, in order to create a life of
Vitality?
HEART-BASED MEDITATION
To Raise Your Vibration and Process Your Feelings
(3 – 5 Minutes, 3 Times Per Day)
1. Deep Breaths
This shifts your nervous system out of Survival Mode (sympathetic nervous system) and into Healing
Mode (para-sympathetic nervous system). Do this three times in a row
• Breathe in through the nose, for a count of 6. Send breath all the way down to the belly, then
filling up into abdomen and chest.
• Hold for a count of 7.
• Exhale blowing out of the mouth, emptying the belly completely, for a count of 8.
3. Express Gratitude
Conjure in your mind someone/something you are really grateful for. Expand on this. Allow feelings of
gratitude and love to fill your heart. (Your breath will become easy and natural, you don’t have to keep
focusing on it)
Example:
• I am so grateful for my grandmother
• She was always so gentle and kind towards me
• I love how she was so openly affectionate
• Her hugs made me feel so safe
• Thank you for being there for me
• Thank you for guiding me
• Thank you for showing me what unconditional love looks like
• I love you
Visualize the feeling as a black cloud floating in front of you. As you do the exercise described below,
imagine pulling the black cloud in towards your chest in a figure 8 – in through the front, out through the
back, then in through the back, out through the front – filtering and washing the darkness through the
ball of bright light in your chest. Continue until you see the dark energy lightening, until it becomes pure
white light. This is how you transmute and integrate your own energy, making you healthier and
stronger, helping you to feel Peace.
Example:
• I love and accept the aspect of myself who feels angry
• I love and accept the aspect of myself who feels hurt
• I love and accept the aspect of myself who feels jealous
• I love and accept the aspect of myself who feels lonely
• I love myself
• I accept myself
