ASSIGNMENT CAS 101

1.How many languages do you speak?

 As far as I know 5. Tagalog, English, Tausug,Sinama, Chavacano, Bisaya. But some of this
languages i don’t speak fluently.

2.What is your first language/Mother tounge?

 Sinama/Tausug

3.How did you acquire your first language?

 My parents taught me.

4.What skills can you perfrom using your first language?

 I can listen, Speak, Write and Read.

5.What is/are your second language/s?

 Tagalog/English/Chavacano/Bisaya

6. How did you learn your second language/s?

 I learn tagalog and English obviously in school my teachers taught me how to speak in
that language, But I learn a lot by playing video games and watching videos from the
internet. Some of these also I learn from my friends especially chavacano and bisaya
since in my place I am surrounded by bisaya and chavacano people.

7. What skill can you perfrom using your second language/s?

 Its hard for me to listen and write in chavacano and bisaya since its too hard for me too
understand for the reason of it is hard to learn. I have no problems with tagalog and
English. Therefore I can only read and speak bisaya and chavacano but not that good.
8.What are your language strengths?

 I don’t require a lot time to memorize new words

 My punctuation in English isn’t that bad


9.What are you language weaknesses.

 I need to learn more phrasal verbs!  Because sometimes I feel I fall short when it comes
to describing or talking about thing.

10.What can you suggest to further improve your language competence?

 For me easiest way to improve your language competence is by watching movies in

englsih or in other language that you like.
 Have conversation in English or in any language that you desire
